Frequently Asked Questions

How does HomeSold make money?
Network real estate agents pay a referral fee each time they close an escrow on a referred client. HomeSold passes the majority of the referral fee back to the client and keeps a nominal percentage of that fee to cover operating expenses.

How can I be assured I will be referred to an ethical and professional real estate agent?
HomeSold is free to select the best agents from leading national real estate firms and, where appropriate, regional and local real estate companies. Agents are carefully screened using very strict standards. Selected agents pay no fees or dues to participate. They are admitted to the HomeSold real estate agent network strictly on merit and customer service skills.

Once I am referred to a real estate agent, will HomeSold continue to assist me?
Yes. Your Personal Transaction Assistant will be available by telephone, fax or e-mail from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Pacific Time, Monday through Friday to answer your questions and solve any problems.

Why would an experienced, professional real estate agent offer a discount on their fee?
A real estate agent incurs major costs to obtain a prospective home buyer or seller. When the Personal Transaction Assistant "hands" a buyer or seller to a network agent, this saves the agent both time and money.

When will I receive my rebate?
You will receive your rebate check within 15 business days following close of escrow. Other service discounts will be received directly through escrow.

Please Note: Rebates are not available in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Tennessee.
